Also known as "Gramma," Andy worked as a scientist in a previous life (we refer to this life as "pre-COVID"). He's gotten into a diversity of fields - from managing a lab studying molecular / microbial forensics to being a run of the mill  microbiologist for the reeel naaahce state of Kentucky :P
