Why are some packers shiny and other's aren't?

Some people have asked Gramma why some packers are more shiny than others.

It pretty much comes down to which packers are detailed and which aren't. Silicone is a reflective material so when a packer is detailed, it smooths out the texture allowing more light to bounce off of the smoother surface. Packers that aren't paint detailed refract the light in more directions which makes it appear less shiny.
