As her map fills in, Granny is always working to make the ordering experience smoother—especially for y'all as international customers. So let’s talk about the most common purchasing hiccup:
🛑 Trouble at Checkout? Read This First
If you’ve ever run into a weird error message while checking out, especially if you’re outside the U.S., it’s likely caused by special characters—things like accents (é, ñ), apostrophes (’), or symbols in your name or address.
Here’s what to do:
Avoid non-alphanumeric characters in your shipping details.
✅ Use: a–z, A–Z, 0–9
❌ Avoid: é, ç, ', ", &, etc.
Replace accented characters with their plain versions (e.g., é → e)
Write apartment/unit numbers without symbols (e.g., Apt 5 instead of #5)
If your name has special characters, try entering a simplified version just for shipping
These issues are caused by how our payment processor processes transactions. It doesn’t always play nice with anything outside the standard character set. We’re always exploring ways to improve this behind the scenes, but in the meantime, these workarounds solve most problems instantly.
Need Help?
If you're still stuck or unsure how to enter your address correctly, don't sweat it. Just shoot Granny an email at gramma@grammassausages.com. Granny is happy to help walk you through it so you can get an authentic, hand-made Gramma's Sausage shipped straight to your doorstep!
Thanks again to all of you—near and far—for supporting what I do. We can’t wait to see which country will be next to pop up on the map. ✨
